Chinese government has set up a series of scholarship programs to sponsor international students, teachers and scholars to study and research in Chinese higher education institutions (Chinese HEIs). International students under Chinese Government Scholarship Programs (hereinafter referred to as scholarship students) will study at Chinese HEIs designated by the Ministry of Education of P. R. China (MOE) to pursue their proposed studies. The duration of Scholarship for Master’s Degree Students are 2-3 years, and Doctoral Degree Students are 3- 4 years.
VALUES OF SCHOLARSHIP
Registration fee, tuition fee, laboratory fee, internship fee, textbook fee, and on-campus accommodation fee.
The standard living allowance:
• Master Degree Candidates: RMB3,000/Month.
• Doctoral Candidates: RMB3,500/Month.

CRITERIA & ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and be in good health.
Applicants must not be students in Chinese universities at the time of application (or at least one year after graduation in China).
Education background and age limit:
• Applicants for master’s degree studies must have bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
• Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
The applicants must fill in and provide the following documents truly, correctly and completely (in duplicate):
Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (filled in Chinese or in English).
• Applicants must fill in and print the application form after submitting it online. The CSC Online
Application for Study in China is available in http://laihua.csc.edu.cn
• Applicants should obtain the “Agency No.” from the universities they apply to directly.
Highest diploma (notarized photocopy). Applicants employed shall provide proof of studying on application.
Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
Academic transcripts (notarized photocopy): Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
Study or research plan: in Chinese or in English, no less than 800 words.
Recommendation letters: Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors.
Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (the original copy should be kept by the applicant. The form could be downloaded from http://www.csc.edu.cn). Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take medical examination as it is valid for only 6 months.
Applicants are required to submit their application documents to Kunming Medical University. CSC does not accept individual applications.
